A little screen.
A lot of together.
Every child has their own pace.
We intentionally do not give age recommendations. Every child develops differently and reaches everyday milestones and new experiences in their own time. You know your child best: look through a story first and decide whether they are ready for that particular topic. Follow their curiosity and comfort, and come back another day if it does not feel right yet.
The best stories happen together.
Lilbimo is made for a child and a parent or caregiver to explore together. The simple, calm animations give you something to notice and talk about. Sit close, choose a familiar everyday moment and turn a little screen time into shared time.
Room for your voice.
Our stories are intentionally silent: no background music, sound effects or recorded narrator. Your voice has room to lead. Describe what you see, sing, hum, make funny sounds or simply watch together. You do not need to perform or get the words right; being together is what matters.
How to tell the story together.
Look at the pictures together and tell the story in your own words. There is deliberately no music, sound effect or recorded narration, so you can imitate splashing water, a buzzing toothbrush or a character’s voice yourself. Add imagined details, familiar names and little jokes, and adapt your words, sounds and pace to your child. Pause to let them point, ask questions, invent sounds or imagine what happens next. There is no script to follow: we leave room for imagination and shared discovery.
“What do you think happens next?”
“Can you find the toothbrush?”
“How do you think our little friend feels?”
Follow their pace.
Move forward whenever you like, even while a scene is moving. Go back to replay a favorite moment, or stay on a scene to talk about what your child notices. Let them help decide when to continue. There is no hurry, and you can stop whenever either of you is ready.
Bring the story home.
Connect the pictures to your own day: “We do this before bedtime too.” “Remember when you tried this?” Find your toothbrush or towel, imitate a small action or talk about who helps. A familiar routine can give you something to share after the screen is put away.
A thoughtful place for screens.
Our aim is calm, intentional time together. Everyday situations already matter to young children; they do not need louder effects or an endless stream of episodes. Lilbimo makes space for conversation and shared attention, with no pressure to keep watching.
